Supporting Ukraine & Mental Health
For the second year, we are running a fundraiser for worthy causes close to our heart. Last year, we raised over €10,000 for Chernobyl Children International thanks to your generosity.
This year, with your help, we want to provide much-needed humanitarian assistance in Ukraine via the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, who are delivering thousands of humanitarian kits on the ground, in particular in Kherson, which is close to our heart and was badly affected by the recent dam destruction, a war crime against humanity and the environment.
We also recognise there is a mental health emergency at home in Ireland and so have decided to donate half the funds raised to Aware, the national organisation providing free support, education and information services to those impacted by anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder and related mood conditions.
As part of this fundraiser, the Herdwatch Team will “climb” the famous Devil’s Bit mountain in Co. Tipperary on 21st July 2023, where an Ice Bucket Challenge will take place at the top… so regardless of the weather, at least some of us will be wet and cold!
Please donate what you can and help us make The Devil’s Bit feel a little more like Everest! You can pick your favourite Herdwatch Team member on the donation page, to help them get up the hill and avoid the ice bucket! We really appreciate your support.
Every Euro collected will be donated 50% to Ukraine and 50% to Aware.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts
The Herdwatch Team and our Ukrainian friends & colleagues
