Royal Award for Herdwatch in Birmingham

Herdwatch have received the 2016 Prince Philip Award at this year’s Livestock event which was held in Birmingham in conjunction with the RABDF (The Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers). The event is the leading B2B event for the UK livestock industry.

This prestigious award for the most practical, relevant and best presented technical exhibit/demonstration at the event comes after Herdwatch already won a Merit Certificate in this year’s LAMMA show, and just a few weeks ahead of the official launch of the Herdwatch farming app in the UK.

James Greevy (pictured above, second from right), Product & Business Development Manager for Herdwatch said: “This is our second show in the UK, and our second award. It is extremely encouraging for us, but more importantly, the feedback from Irish & British farmers has been fantastic and we look forward to launching our farming app in the UK very soon.”

Chairman of judges and RABDF Council member Guy Trehane (pictured above on left) commented: “The Herdwatch Farming App is a simple piece of tech that meets the needs of these cash strapped times. The hand held data device uses the everyday technology of a smartphone and cloud to store and download data that can be tapped into by any member of a farm team, even those of us with fat fingers and rubber gloves.”

The Herdwatch Team will be travelling to Buckingham Palace in October to receive the Award from Prince Philip.
