The Herdwatch Fertiliser Voucher: Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 1 October 2026

1. The promoter and partner

1.1The promoter of The Herdwatch Fertiliser Voucher (“the Competition”) is Herdwatch Limited, registered in Ireland under company number 513888, with its registered office at Reach Hub, Grove Street, Roscrea, Co. Tipperary, E52 HP82 (“Herdwatch”, “we” or “us”).

1.2The Competition is run in association with Goulding Soil Nutrition (“Gouldings”), which is supplying the prizes. Gouldings is not the promoter and is not responsible for running the Competition.

1.3By entering, you agree to these terms and conditions (“Terms”).

2. Who can enter

2.1The Competition is open to anyone aged 18 or over who lives in the Republic of Ireland and farms in the Republic of Ireland with a herd or flock number issued by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.

2.2The following people cannot enter: employees of Herdwatch, Gouldings and their group companies; anyone professionally connected with running the Competition, including agencies; and the immediate family or household members of any of these people.

2.3We may ask any entrant to show proof of age, identity, residence or herd or flock number. If you cannot provide it, your entry may be disqualified.

2.4This Competition is run by Herdwatch. It is not connected with, endorsed by or part of any scheme run by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine or any other government body.

3. How to enter

3.1The Competition opens at 00:01 on Tuesday 6 October 2026 and closes at 23:59 on Saturday 31 October 2026 (Irish time) (“the Entry Period”). Entries received outside the Entry Period will not be accepted.

3.2To enter, complete the entry form on the Competition page at herdwatch.com with your name, mobile number, email address, herd or flock number, county, farm type, approximate number of animals and how you keep your farm records, and correctly answer the question: “What do you call a young female cow that hasn’t had a calf yet?”

3.3Entry is free. No purchase, subscription or Herdwatch account is needed to enter.

3.4One entry per person. Further entries from the same person, mobile number, email address or herd or flock number will be treated as duplicates and only the first valid entry will count, plus any bonus entries under clause 4.

3.5Entries must be made by the entrant personally. Bulk, automated, third-party or incomplete entries, and entries with an incorrect answer, are invalid.

3.6We are not responsible for entries that are lost, delayed or not received for any reason, including technical faults. Proof of submission is not proof of receipt.

4. Bonus entries

4.1Herdwatch Pro members: an entrant who holds an active, paid Herdwatch Pro subscription at the time of entry and selects “Yes” on the entry form will receive 5 bonus entries. We will check membership by matching the mobile number or email address used to enter against our records.

4.2New Herdwatch accounts: an entrant who does not already have a Herdwatch account and creates a new free account at herdwatch.com/en-ie/free-sign-up/ during the Entry Period, using the same mobile number used to enter, will receive 2 bonus entries. Existing accounts, including free accounts created before 6 October 2026, do not qualify.

4.3Each entrant can receive either the Pro member bonus or the new account bonus, not both. The maximum number of entries per person is 6.

4.4Bonus entries are added once we have verified eligibility, and only count in draws held after they are verified. Our decision on bonus entries is final.

5. The draws

5.1There will be four weekly draws and one headline draw. Each weekly draw includes all valid entries received by 23:59 on the Thursday before it:

  • Weekly draw 1: Friday 9 October 2026
  • Weekly draw 2: Friday 16 October 2026
  • Weekly draw 3: Friday 23 October 2026
  • Weekly draw 4: Friday 30 October 2026
  • Headline draw: Friday 6 November 2026, from all valid entries received during the Entry Period

5.2Entries that do not win carry forward into each later draw.

5.3Each person can win a maximum of one weekly prize, but weekly winners remain in the headline draw.

5.4Winners will be selected at random by computer from all valid entries, under the supervision of an independent person. We will also draw a reserve winner for each draw.

6. The prizes

6.1Weekly prizes: four prizes, one per weekly draw, each a €500 Gouldings fertiliser voucher.

6.2Headline prize: one prize of €5,000 in Gouldings fertiliser vouchers towards the winner’s 2027 fertiliser purchases.

6.3Vouchers can only be redeemed for Gouldings fertiliser products through participating merchants and co-ops in the Republic of Ireland and must be used by 31 December 2027. Redemption instructions will be sent to each winner with their voucher.

6.4Prizes are non-transferable. There is no cash alternative, and vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash or other products. Any unused balance after the expiry date is lost.

6.5If a prize becomes unavailable for reasons outside our control, we may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.

6.6Winners are responsible for any tax or other liabilities arising from their prize.

7. Winners

7.1We will contact winners by phone and email using the details given on the entry form within 2 working days of each draw.

7.2Winners must reply within 7 days and may be asked to verify their identity, age, residence and herd or flock number. If a winner does not reply in time, cannot be verified or is not eligible, they forfeit the prize and the reserve winner will be contacted.

7.3We will arrange delivery of the voucher to the winner within 28 days of verification.

7.4The name and county of each winner will be available on request by emailing info@herdwatch.com within one month of the headline draw.

8. Publicity

8.1With each winner’s consent, we and Gouldings may use their name, county, photograph and comments in publicity about the Competition, including press releases, social media and local media. Winners are not required to take part in publicity to receive their prize.

9. Your data

9.1Herdwatch is the data controller for the personal data you give when entering. We process it in line with the General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Acts 1988 to 2018.

9.2We use your data to run the Competition: to check eligibility and bonus entries, carry out the draws, contact winners, arrange prizes and contact you about this Competition. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the Competition you have entered.

9.3If you tick the box to say you would like a call, we will also use your details to contact you by phone or text about Herdwatch. This is based on your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time by telling the person who calls you, replying STOP to any text, or emailing info@herdwatch.com. Your entry is not affected by whether you tick this box.

9.4We will share a winner’s name and contact details with Gouldings only so that Gouldings can arrange the voucher. We will not share entrants’ details with Gouldings for marketing.

9.5We will keep entry data for 12 months after the Competition closes, after which it will be deleted, unless you have given consent to be contacted or are a Herdwatch customer, in which case our general privacy policy applies.

9.6You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, and to object to or restrict its use. To exercise these rights, email info@herdwatch.com. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission (www.dataprotection.ie). See our full privacy policy at www.herdwatch.com/privacy-policy.

10. Facebook and Instagram

10.1This Competition is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Meta Platforms, Facebook or Instagram. By entering, you release Meta from any liability in connection with the Competition. Any questions or complaints should be directed to Herdwatch, not Meta.

11. General

11.1We may disqualify any entry, or withhold a prize, if we reasonably believe an entrant has broken these Terms, entered fraudulently or tried to interfere with the Competition.

11.2We may change, suspend or cancel the Competition, or change these Terms, if circumstances outside our reasonable control make it necessary. Any changes will be published on the Competition page.

11.3Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. Otherwise, Herdwatch and Gouldings are not liable for any loss or damage arising from entering the Competition or from accepting or using a prize, except where caused by our negligence or breach of these Terms.

11.4Our decision on all matters relating to the Competition is final. No correspondence will be entered into, except with winners and in response to data protection requests.

11.5These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have exclusive jurisdiction.

11.6Questions about the Competition should be sent to info@herdwatch.com or by calling 0505 34400.
