Important movement cert reminders

Before applying for a movement cert, it is important to be aware of the current cattle movement rules:

You cannot apply for movement certs for animals less than 10 days old
Movement certs are valid for 10 days
You can include a maximum of 10 animals per movement cert

How to apply for a movement cert in Herdwatch

Herdwatch makes the process straightforward. Once applied for, the movement cert can either be sent to the buyer by text or emailed to you so it can be printed, signed, and posted if needed.

Steps to follow

Tap the Orange Plus (+) button in the bottom right-hand corner
Select Record a Remedy or Compliance Event
Select Animal Movements
Select Movement Out
Input the buyer’s details, including name, number, and herd number
Tap Next in the top right-hand corner
Select the animals being moved
Tap Save in the top right-hand corner
Tap Apply for cert now
Enter your Herdwatch 6-digit PIN
Tap Send cert to Buyer to create a message on your phone
