Calving season 2017 is drawing to a close and this year more farmers than ever are using Herdwatch for calf registration, with a significant overall increase in calf registrations through the app compared to last year.
Almost 40,000 more calf registrations have been completed through the app so far in 2017 compared to the same period last year, saving farmers an extra 3,000 hours on paperwork (5 minutes per calf).
Over 110,000 calves have been registered with the app this year, a 56% increase on last year.
14% of National Calf births were registered through the Herdwatch app so far this year, saving farmers an estimated 6,238 hours or 260 days worth of farm paperwork.
